Compressed Compact Powder Foundation?

I have like 2 but it's my mom's. It's like about 17 year old makeup!!!! I need foundation for my play and Idk how to use the compact foundation. Everytime I try it it looks like powder is taking over my face!!! Like you can see the mineral pieces. My mom put them on me b4 and it looked the same. My friend today used compact foundation and she looks the same as me with it. How do you apply it? Also is liquid foundation better? Thanks! Also what's the difference between bronzer and blush???Compressed Compact Powder Foundation?
Oh my! Powder has changed a lot in 17 years, not to mention old powder can dry out or the oil in it can go rancid or any number of problems. You need to use powder that's fresh and new, it will look much better. Even inexpensive drug store brands have much more finely milled powders than that long ago without the chunks of glitter. Look for one that doesn't have sparkles in it, one with a nice clear finish. Talc based powders give a more matte and natural finish, mineral powders all tend to have shiny particles. To apply a powder you are better off using a soft fluffy brush rather than the little sponge-puff thing. Sweep the brush over the powder and then sweep it over your face. You can layer for a bit more coverage. Try not to brush it on so think that it makes your skin look powdery. Liquid is best for people with dry skin, if you are a teen with oily skin liquids will look greasy and they will not be long lasting on your face. Plus, liquids often need a layer of powder over them to set them and that can clog up pores, something you don't want if you are prone to breakouts.

You could try something that isn't a liquid or a powder. Maybelline makes a foundation called ';dream matte mousse'; It's light and gossamer feeling, and you can layer it for more coverage. It sets to a nice powdery silky finish and it's great for teens with oily skin. And you don't need to brush powder over it.

Bronzer is used all over the face to give a sun kissed tan look. Blush is used only on the cheeks and in the cheek hollows to contour and bring colour to the cheek, like you've been outside and active. Darker blushes are used in the hollows of the cheeks to make cheekbones look more prominent, skilled make-up artists can re-contour the shape of the face through skillful application of contour blush. Most people don't need that, a light dusting on the cheeks is enough to give the face a healthy looking glow,Compressed Compact Powder Foundation?
Ok short makeup application lesson.

1. Make sure you are starting with a clean, freshly washed and moisturized face.

2. Try using a primer before applying your foundation or powder or concealer. It helps smooth the skin so you have a smooth canvas to work with. AVON makes a primer thats great and inexpensive.

3. try using a brush instead of a powder puff or sponge to apply it.

4. Please purchase some new makeup! It's best to replace makeup at least every 6 months or so because it can and will grow bacteria which can lead to skin problems and allergic reactions.

The link at the bottom is for the AVON magicFX primer its on sale for $7.99 and you can use the free shipping code also.

Hope this helps!
