Crerme compact foundations?

I was wondering what creme compact foundations were like, for example what finish they allow and if they are better than liquid foundation. I know this varies from brand to brand, though i was looking for a general answer. Also, what positives and negatives does creme compact foundation bring?

Thankyou :)Crerme compact foundations?
Cream foundation gives u full coverage more than liquid foundation, cream foundation is combine from powder and liquid. For fall/winter time, use cream foundation is the best choice.

TRY booth LANCOME DUAL POWER is wonderfull i have oily skin believe me it works!
I have oily/combination and I have tried almost every product and it doesn't work, And I must say that I've tried the Clinique products and absolutely love the results. Not only does it keep your oily face in check but it also gets rid of the dead skin cells and the acne. It works wonders on me, my face is always glowing. I think you should try it if you have oily skin they'll tell you to try number 3. Definitely buy the toner because it helps a lot and the lotion which is actually a gel. I think you'll love the results. They also have other products too to help, but I personally think that the cleanser, toner and lotion was enough for me (based on my results).
You might want to check out this skincare line called arbonne. It is an all natural skincare line, that has no animal by products and is even PETA approved. No fragrance, so for people w/sensitive skin it will keep you from breaking out. They do have all natural makeup as well. You can look at their products if you would like.

www.arbonne.com, there is a yearly membership fee, but when you sign up you get 35% off of everyting, you can not buy this stuff in stores and it is only release in the US and canada right now. It is really great stuff, I use it everyday.

Are we allowed to carry makeup on flights? No liquid bottles but only compact cream foundations and lipstick.?

You can carry your makeup (including liquids) in your carryon. ALL liquids in your carryon must fit in a 1quart zip top bag and must be 3.4 ounces/100ml or less. You can read more about what is and is not allowed at http://www.tsa.gov/travelers/airtravel/p鈥?/a>

Lip stick that's in a tube is not considered a liquid and does not need to be in the bag. If the compact is solid you should be ok too, however, you may want to put it in the zip top bag just to be safe. Are we allowed to carry makeup on flights? No liquid bottles but only compact cream foundations and lipstick.?
just to be safe I would put it in a ziplock bag... I went to FL with a small liquid lip gloss tube and I got pulled outta line and they wanted me to go through again if I wanted to keep it.... it took long the first time so I said ';toss it'; and medicine like Dayquil needs to be a bag too... trust me :oS

have a good flight :o)Are we allowed to carry makeup on flights? No liquid bottles but only compact cream foundations and lipstick.?
Yes, you can. However you will be required to seperate them into a plastic bag. check this site for updated security information: http://www.tsa.gov or this site:

    http://wehow.ehow.com/how_2003583_pack-h鈥?/a>

    Good luck with the trip!
at some airports, they let u carry liquid if it fits inside a certain sized ziploc bag (i saw it on a poster at an airport) im sure compact cream foundations and lipstick would fit in the ziploc bag but it really depends on the airport

oh yeah, and i think u can bring it if it's not in a carry-on bag

    GOOD LUCK! =]
    anything other than gels,hard perfumes
I think that should be fine. As long as its not liquidy.

    they confiscating my hand sanitizer!!

    grrr...

but I've brought lip balm so if its not liquid, it should be fine.

I have oilly skin what foundation should i use: spray, mousse or compact and which brands?

I'd go with a powder to help absorb the oil. I used CoverGirl Clean I think (in the green compact) and it was good.

Now I use Bare Escentuals which is great.I have oilly skin what foundation should i use: spray, mousse or compact and which brands?
Look in to a mineral powder it acts as a powder yet it's not cakey and covers so well you look translucent.

I like Arbonne's but I am sure any brand at the drug store will suffice - it's a great product for oily skin tones.I have oilly skin what foundation should i use: spray, mousse or compact and which brands?
Use the Liquid Mineral Foundation by Bee-Luscious. It is a liquid foundation that turns to powder. Also it does NOT contain any oils so it would be great for your skin type. It has great coverage yet feels very light. It is the same stuff you can get at the spa but you are just buying direct. Just do a Yahoo or Google search for them.
Covergirl with Noxzema liquid and soften it with a loose powder also Covergirl
i have the same problem,my oily skin has been a real obsticle with finding the right make-up,i mostly use the compact bottle, the brand is revlon for combination/oily skin.it protects your skin and keeps it glowing without it being oily.i got mine at wal-mart but there everywhere all u have to do is find the right match with your skin tone
When I was getting my facial a couple of weeks ago...the facial lady said that mineral makeup is good for oily skin. You can find mineral makeup anywhere! Or you could use a compact, they work good too...my friend has extremely oily skin and she likes MAC compacts and they last her a long time.

I use the CoverGirl Fragrance Free Compact (it's green) I like it and I got it for about $4
The very best foundation I found is Bee Luscious Cosmetics Liquid Powder Mineral Foundation it will actually control the oil for a perfect complexion.
DONT USE OILY PRODUCTS!! I LEARNED THAT THE HARD WAY. USE POWDER BUT WATCH OUT SOME HAVE OIL IN THEM. I ALSO LEARNED THAT THE HARD WAY. DO NOT USE MOUSSE THAT'S FOR DRY SKIN USE COMPACT. ALSO IF YOU ARE TIRED OF OILY SKIN TRY PRODUCTS THAT SAY';REDUCE OIL';. READ AND WATCH OUT FOR PRODUCTS THAT COULD MAKE YOUR FACE EVEN MORE OILY. GOOD LUCK!! IF YOU NEED MORE HELP EMAIL ME AT SUEDUCE@AOL.COM OR BLUESUEDUCE@YAHOO.COM
    NYC compact
Go with L'Oreal True Match. It's great for all of that stuff.
i have oily skin too, and i use estee lauders foundation.

its more expensive than the drugstore kinds, but it works great.

just make sure you get a foundation that says 'oil free'

    works great :]
mineral makeup...i use mineral wear and it is really good!
I have oily skin too. I tried bare escentuals. It's mineral makeup and it works so well. try sephora or qvc., they both sell the products. Start with the starter kit and it gives you everything you need with instructions. You'll be hooked. I guarantee it!

What kind of foundation is better?? Liquid, compact or mousse??

I'm going to get myself a foundation.... not for a daily use,, but for special occasion or for weekend... i don't like the fact how it clog pores..

but what kind of foundation is the best??? i have a normal skin, but rather dry..... what's the difference between the three?? which one is easier to apply??

and should I use foundation brush for it???

the most important thing, what brand of foundation is the best??? like drugstore one.... pick from one of below :

maybelline - almay - covergirl - rimmel - maxfactor - physician's formula - BYS - e.l.f - benefits - prestige - bourjoisWhat kind of foundation is better?? Liquid, compact or mousse??
if youre a teen then foundations are really bad into your skin but when youre not then my advice for you is powder for oily face and liquid foundation for dry faceI use the Trublend liquid (in the stand up 1oz liq) and it's good at first but after you use it alot it starts to come out of the container really oily.

I don't have dry or oily skin, and very rarely get acne... so...

Recently I started using the Maybelline dream matte mousee. So far, so good.

After you apply foundation you should really add a powder to soften the look.

Even though I have a pretty even skin tone, and clear skin I still like my foundation. What kind of foundation is better?? Liquid, compact or mousse??
from my past experience, i would say .... mousse foundations.

    http://www.maybelline.com/Product/Face/F鈥?/a>

i've used maybelline, dream matte mousse foundation four times before, (when i had money, now i have crappy truBlend) ;i can say its the best kind of foundation. it feels so squishy when you touch it, and its fun, :P - it blends into my skin, quickly, and smoothly. it made my skin look abousutly flawless, :)
    BARE MINERALS

Is the compact just as good as the foundation?

l'oreal bare naturale has a whole line of face products. i usually go natural or just wear powder, no foundation or any of that stuff. so i was just wondering if like the gentle mineral powder (compact) is as good as the powder foundation? Is the compact just as good as the foundation?
i havent used it but its suppose to be better becuz its suppose to hide wrinkles and u dont have to use as much of it, plus its suppose to have antioxidants in it that are suppose to be healthy for your skin, i been wanting to try it but i havent had the chanceIs the compact just as good as the foundation?
i like the compact a lot better. but if you can get that dream matte mousse stuff i like that the best. it covers everythingggg! lol. makes my skin look amazing. but besides that the best is the compact

    answer mine please?

    http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;鈥?/a>
the mineral/natural makeup is ebtter because it provides your skin with nutrients powder foundation doesnt give. also, powder doesnt allow your skin to breathe as much, so your pores close up.
I don't know about L'Oreal... however I do know that CoverGirl's compacts are definitely as good or better than the powder foundation. You put it on with a sponge but once on your skin looks like powder and stays on longer too!
Yes, once I started using powder minerals, I'm spoiled %26amp; i feel like my face is heavy when I wear my liquid foundation now.
yep its lighter because the particles arent as packed
    it really is.
Yeah, it's just as good. My gf uses that.

  • Whats the best type of foundation for normal skin? liquid/powder/compact?

i need it to last pretty much all day tooWhats the best type of foundation for normal skin? liquid/powder/compact?
I believe powder because it doesn't clog pores as much as oily liquid foundation. Powder yields clearer skin and keeps it from being oily by the end of the day. Whats the best type of foundation for normal skin? liquid/powder/compact?
Liquid i think! Hope it helps

Can i use compact powder without using foundation?

m 20.i live in india.my skin is oily.its fairer than wheatish skin.my college working hours is frm 8 am-5 pm. it goes dull with the time.i mean starting 1 hour it looks nice.thn it starts getting dull.can i use compact powder daily jus after washing my face n moisturizing it?will it harm my skin? Can i use compact powder without using foundation?
Yes, you can just powder your skin. That's what I do. If you have oily skin you should, however, get a powder compact 1-3 shades lighter than your skin, depending on how oily it is, because the oil on your skin soaks into the powder and makes it darker. Also, Look for oil absorbing talc-free compacts. Always read the ingredients, because talc makes oily skin worse, causes breakouts, and is linked to cancer. A last tip for oily skin, carry around your compact and blotting papers. Throughout the day use the blotting papers to remove excess oil, and then reapply your powder compact.

Hope this helped! Can i use compact powder without using foundation?
Sure you can do that %26amp; it won't harm your skin, it may dry it out somewhat. Have you tried Cover Girl's pressed powder/foundation? It's a 2 in one it is great, doesn't clog your poors, keeps your face from looking oily, %26amp; blends %26amp; tones your complexion.
Yes! I do that all the time because my skin doesn't really need foundation. Plus, it's reallllllllllllly oily. Do you have Covergirl in India? Because if you do, then get the Clean line.
use compact powder only after putting some tonic on your face it helps better without foundation
Yeah thats what i do and no it wont harm your skin.
    yes
    yep

Can you apply foundation in a compact with a brush?

I'm going to have to buy more powder foundation soon, and right now I use Cover Girl Tru Blend Mineral foundation. I use my own separate brush to apply it, but I know using a brush is okay because the foundation came with one (granted it was a really awful brush, but you get the point).

Next time I buy powder foundation, I might get one of their compacts. I know those come with little round pads that you use to apply the foundation, but it looks like it would be really uncomfortable to put it on that way -- maybe it's just me. Is it okay to keep using a brush, or should I buy disposable pads to apply this? Can you apply foundation in a compact with a brush?
i actually apply all of my powder foundation with a brush because for my preference, the powder gets spread out more evenly through out the face but its which ever you prefer , its not a problem to use either/or.

Using the pads will hold more powder together so that the powder is in binders[bonded form] for a thicker coverage.

A brush lets you apply less at a time so you can adjust more if needed. Can you apply foundation in a compact with a brush?
You can definitely keep using the brush. I have one of those little pad thingys too and I find that it actually sucks up a lot of the foundation, it's like it wastes the foundation before it even makes it to your face. I bought a foundation brush (only because it was on sale lol) to apply my powder but I'm sure any brush would work.
    you can use the brush.

I like the pads, they are smoother and give more coverage than a brush would.

It doesnt matter what you use, if your wanting fuller coverage, stick with the pad. If you dont need alot of coverage and just want something lighter, use a brush.

I also use tru blen, and i love their foundations and powders.

    especialy the compact ones.

I find the foam pads work better for me, but thats just how i like to apply my makeup
definitely....you get a more natural and soft look this way

My skin gets ashy color when i apply any compact powder or foundation?

so i apply it a shade 2 or 3 tones lighter than my face CUZ my face and neck r tanned(farmers tan) while my body is light in color....but when i apply it ,my face looks sick-ish and greyish and NOTHING like my body color?what shall i do???my skin has yellow undertone i guess...but the tanned part looks olive-ish(if u noe what i mean)

well anyways how can i solve this makeup disaster?????and what makeup to use for daily wear for a fresh look

thanks y'allMy skin gets ashy color when i apply any compact powder or foundation?
The reason you get that ashy color is because the foundation is too light. I would suggest going with a mineral makeup. Try Bare Essentials its natural, gives you a flawless look and it does not irritate your skin. Sephora or Macy's also has experts there to help you find the right shade for you if you want a powder or liquid foundation. My skin gets ashy color when i apply any compact powder or foundation?
forget about the farmers tan and get whatever matches your neck and natural skintone on your face with out any makeupp.

go to a MAC counter or other makeup counter and ask them to color match you.

be ok?I have fair skin,I don't like using liquid foundation, will using a compact?
I dont like using liquid either it doesnt match my skin. I just use powders but sometimes my face looks orange..

Yeah It will be Ok...depending on how the skin on your face is.I have fair skin,I don't like using liquid foundation, will using a compact?
yes, but ifyou have flaky skin you'll mak eyour face look all dried out.
Try the new MINERAL loose powder. You used to only be able to buy it from infomercials. But now it's available in stores. My daughter and I use it and it feels great on your skin, no make up lines and the colors match better than those compacts.I really think you'll love it.
Foundation is just used to get a good base for make-up but if u dont like it, try to use a moisturising compact that doesnt dries up ur skin..
    Use Covergirls powder foundation.
both do the same wrk 1's in liquid form and 1 in solid

so go ahead nd use ny1 u are comfortable with

My skin gets ashy color when i apply any compact powder or foundation?

well anyways how can i solve this makeup disaster?????and what makeup to use for daily wear for a fresh look

thanks y'allMy skin gets ashy color when i apply any compact powder or foundation?
I mostly end up beginning inexpensive and trying out tons products. Do what seems right and I bet your gut will be right. I read reviews at http://BrandsMakeup.comMy skin gets ashy color when i apply any compact powder or foundation?
first put on some lotion right after you towel dry and put some lotion on your face and than put your make up on and you can instantly see the difference
its probably that you have flakey dry skin or theres somthing about the certain compact powder you use. make sure you match your foundation color to YOUR FACE AND NECK despite it being too dark for the rest of your body, or else you can look ghostly and flakey.

What you can do is dust some bronzer over chest and top of your shoulders to give you that tanny look to match with your face and neck.

i dont know what else to tell you, you can also put tanning lotion all over your body(not the heavy kinds) and that will compliment with your face.

just remember that dont ever use a different color of powder for your face, thats not very good.

daily wear makeup, i suggest some light foundation, bronzer and blush at the apples of your cheeks.nude lips and gloss

    hope i helped
Put moisturizer on your face or a primer before you apply foundation and then use a whipped or mousse type foundation to avoid the ashy look. Try the bisque or buff colors rather than anything in ivory, which would be too light for you.

You need to do your face in a shade that is in between your fair body color and the tan on your face now. You're are going too light, I'm afraid. Good luck!! : P

Well, there's this one product by Max Factor which is quite new.

It's called Miracle Touch Liquid Illusion Foundation.

It's a concealer, foundation and powder, all-in-one combination.

I haven't tried it myself, but I've heard about many people who've raved on about it.

It's just under 拢10 which is quite a deal, since you're getting all the three basics you need for a flawless complexion!

clineque (idk if i spelt it right) they have a powder it last all day and its sooo light on your face i love it
I like MaryKay foundation with CoverGirl powder over that.

Do you prefer liquid foundation or the compact one?

depends on your skin type sweetie.. If you have oily skin, you will have problems with liquid foundation. For normal to dry skin, liquid ones work just fine. But if you have oil skin, i suggest you use oil-control compact powders. And more importantly, washing your face when it gets too oily (then reapply your makeup) is always best.

i use the photo-perfect compact powder. Look nice esp during day time *smiles*Do you prefer liquid foundation or the compact one?
I use to like liquid more b/c i hate seeing all that powder sitting on my face but i recently switched to mac studiofix powder, and so far, it's pretty good.Do you prefer liquid foundation or the compact one?
    MAC Stuiofix is my FAVORITE!
go for the liquid foundation from clinique
I like the liquid stuff. Cover Girl has a good one that has a pump bottle so it is easy to get out. It just goes on well and you can rub it in better. Then, if you need some powder later in the night for shine, go for it.
Compact one. It is easier to use and you can take it any where.

    Hope this works 4 u...
compact for me. Its easier to apply :)
I have to go with my all time favorite make-up which is Bare Escentuals. It's all natural mineral makeup that doesn't look like you're wearing anything at all. Everyone always tells me I look great for 43 years old. Only problem is there are so many fabulous shades and pots that i'm slightly addicted to trying the whole range-which is massive!!
    i like the compact one
Compact, alot easier to apply. I especially love Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse Foundation

at the store, check the shade, and make sure you are getting one shade darker than you are getting!

Bare Minerals or Sheer Cover? Only answer if you use mineral makeup, no compact or liquid foundation...?

respond from your own experience. i've heard gospels about b.m., but sheer cover is made by Guthy-Renker, the makers of proactiv. they're pretty good too. no, maybeline, MAC, covergirl, other that other riffraff. just mineral makeupBare Minerals or Sheer Cover? Only answer if you use mineral makeup, no compact or liquid foundation...?
I used Bare Mineral and its HORRIBLE.

VERY cakey %26amp; powdery %26amp; doesnt hide any imperfections at all. Not natural looking at all, you could definately tell your wearing makeup.

Your better off wearing none than bare minerals.

Dermatologist %26amp; other skin specialtist such as Paula say Bare Mineral isnt even good for your skin %26amp; so on. There more info but i wont get into that.

They say MAC %26amp; Clinque is the BEST foundations for your skin. %26amp;%26amp;%26amp; neutrogena. Even loreal %26amp; covergirl are wayyyy better than bare mineral ect.

P.S. Proactive SUCKS!!!Bare Minerals or Sheer Cover? Only answer if you use mineral makeup, no compact or liquid foundation...?
I have used both, and personally do not care for either. Bare minerals got a little cakey and didn't last throughout the day. Sheer Cover was very sheer. I didn't get good coverage at all, and it disappeared into my skin within a couple of hours.

I switched to KmS Mineral Essentials. I love it! It is 100% pure mineral makeup, does not contain bismuth which is in both bare minerals and sheer cover, and gives my complexion an amazing finish.
Bare Minerals is TERRIBLE, that crap broke me out, and I don't know about sheer cover because I don't feel like paying $30 a month 4 it. I really recommend Everyday Minerals, it's cheap and it works, trust me. This stuff gives me great coverage. You can go to their website and order the free sample kit. You only pay for shipping %26amp; Handling. Just try it out.
I agree with everyone else! Bare minerals looks cakey and fake, and it made me itch like crazy cuz of the bismuth oxychloride in it. Took me forever to figure out what was causing the itch. They put that ingredient in tons of makeup from lotsa companies.

I use the Hollywood formula from LA Minerals and I LOVE the stuff!!! Really natural looking, covers good, lasts all day.

Get some samples, they are only like $1 each and they ship them free. Get some of the veil too. Applied over the foundation makes your skin look and feel smooth and flawless.

    http://www.laminerals.com

    I'm hooked for life!!!!!
There is better Mineral foundation out there...You just have to look. There is this make-up called Joppa Minerals, which I totally recommend. You should check out the sites.

And I've heard great things about Lumiere, too.

I hear Bare Minerals is pretty bad for your skin...I tried it, and I didn't like it at all. It really was obvious that I was wearing make-up, and it left my face feeling dry and cakey.
I've been using Bare Minerals for 2 years...and i absolutely love it! First off, there are tons of shades to choose from, and you can even mix and match colors to match ur perfect shade...it does not irritate my skin, it leaves my skin looking flawless, and its super easy to apply...i've never tried sheer cover but u should def try bare minerals...make sure u get the mineral veil land kabuki brush though!! ive also tried alot of great things about everydayminerals....its cheaper and better for sensitive skin apparently...
I haven't used sheer cover. Only bare minerals. I thinks its Loreal Minerals or something like that. But I love it. It gives me and even completion and it makes me feel like I have absolutely nothing on. It's also very quick to put on when you're in a rush in the morning.
my dermotoligist told me that Bare Minerals make-up clogs your pores.

    he recomended using neutrogena foundation.

i dont know the sheer cover make-up.

but im guessing its not too bad since its made by the proactiv people.
    i use bare minerals

    its awesome

it covers up eveything and makes u look fresh, not like ur wearing aton of makeup:-)

my skin isn,t too oily it just gets oily on the T-zone also can u tell me about a good nourishing cream form skin typeI don,t like to use foundation so i use compact powder instead so what is the best brand to use?
MACI don,t like to use foundation so i use compact powder instead so what is the best brand to use?
I have found that the best compact powder brands are Rimmel, Covergirl, %26amp; Max Factor. They are all relatively cheap, last a while, and match skin tones well.
I love Mary Kay! I also do not like foundation but I switch between Mary Kay's loose powder and and creme to powder foundation.
    Lancome -Photogenic
Try using a mineral powder foundation instead and get the best of both worlds. Neutrogena is good, so is L'Oreal and Physicians formula. A lot of people also like Bare Essentials. It's good for any oils on your skin too and is lighter than powders.
My skin is the same. I use the Clinique Real Compact Make-up. Its $22.00 but they r worth it!
Same with me, I use this..

    http://shop.nordstrom.com/hs/MAFMU54T

It's a tad bit pricy compared to what most people use, but it works very well.
Search on line for Bee Luscious Cosmetics they have a fantastic selection and the products are amazing, simply wonderful results every time. I have been using these products for over a year and have been so happy with everything. I suggest the mineral foundation pressed powder and their hydrating cream concentrate which is a day and night cream together. They have a big selection to choose from.
MAC Pressed Powder with Oil Control Lotion under it.
I love kohls Flirt brand powder. I too have oily skin and it really reduces the shine.
Definitely GloMinerals..Its mineral makeup with added viamins. It was first used for plastic surgery patients. My skin is actually better when I have it on.

    Liquid foundation or compact?

What kind of foundation shows peach fuzz less?

    Compact or liquid foundation?

I use liquid and in the summer when i get tanned, the peach fuzz on my face shows a lot, because its blonde, so it looks really blonde next to my tanned skin, so what kind of foundation would work better to cover that?

And which foundation has best coverage overall, liquid or compact?

    Thankyou :)Liquid foundation or compact?
I'd go for a mineral makeup that comes as a loose powder. It's a little fiddly to get used to at first but looks very natural and gives excellent coverage with no horrible jaw line or having to blend right down your neck.

Bare Escentuals is awesome, but there are loads of high street brands now. Just get good brushes, keep them clean regularly. You won't regret it.

Stay Matte Compact Powder Foundation Anti-Shine(help)?

my skin gets shiny when i apply liquid foundation if i apply liquid foundation on first then the powdered anti shine foundation what will happen im so confused please help!Stay Matte Compact Powder Foundation Anti-Shine(help)?
apply liquid foundation then your anti shine foundation.

for somthing lighter try a blot powder. mac has one..Stay Matte Compact Powder Foundation Anti-Shine(help)?
Foundation isnt meant to control shine it supposed to control spots and unwanted things on your face so yes if you applied the powder after the foundation it works i would buy loose powder to put on after though and wait till the foundation drys ;)
There is an awesome product by Smashbox called anti-shine. Put it on under your liquid and it will suck up all the oil. Its awesome. I won't go without it. You can find it at sephora. It cost $30.00 for a tube of it but it will last forever. Well worth it.
when using liquid you should always set it with a loose powder and apply the compact powder later on for touch ups.compact powders are not made to set liquid foundations.

Pls suggest me foundation n compact to be used?

my skin is oily,wt type of foundation or compact to be used,,, i mean cream based or powder form,,, n also suggest eye make up,,m hving whaeatish skin (Indian skin texture)Pls suggest me foundation n compact to be used?
Powder form becuse you have an oily skin it will soak oil up and give amazing coverage and will make you not look shiny

x sarahPls suggest me foundation n compact to be used?
I have an oily skin too and i just cant do without compact. I use revlons new complexion compact it has a creme to powder texture and really suits the skin. For foundation since it is oily skin you can use powder foundation. the mineral powder foundation of revlon is really cool and also has SPF. Eye shadow of revlon is really good and the price is also nice. You can also try out the mineral range of revlon it is superb and good for skin and its longstay. They have a long range of colours so you can be rest assured that you will surely get the colour of your complexion. The coverage is also good. Apart from the mineral revlon has a separate liquid foundation for combination/oily skin. you can also go for that. I hope now you will have no problem choosing.
Am Indian and have oily skin, And lakme works for me.

I use liquid foundation and powdered compac. Also for eye make up, use bright coloured eye liners (pencil eye liners are easy to use), and Eye shadows (basic colors, must have- pink, green, blue and red shades).

If you have acne you can use Aloe vera Moisturizer before the foundation.

    Enjoy !! :)
    Sonu,

First before you apply any makeup you need to address the oily skin issue. Like you I have oily skin this is what I do and use: I use Coonobabe Pepino cleanser, followed by their Manzanillo toner. Wash with cleanser, pat dry with clean towel, then apply toner with cotton pad, and allow to air dry. During hot humid days I repeat this process. This has helped me to keep my skin clean to the touch.

Now for the makeup for oily skin. I recommend their Savila base for oily skin. Followed by the ';happy endings'; powder. After you apply the Savila liquid foundation lightly apply the powder to keep it set to last hours. Don't worry this company has a great policy of shipping for free anywhere in the world all orders. So I hope this helps you.

    clinique.

go to macy's and make an appointment at the clinique counter. a lady will do your makeup for free and you can see what you like and what you dont like. even if you dont buy anything it can give you an idea of the right colors and what feels good. plus clinique is good for your skin
i like cliniqu and mary kay anything that is all minerels will improve your skin so get those
    of course powder form.

Loreal super blendable compact makeup (foundation)?

i was just wondering if anyone has tried the new super blendable compact makeup..(not the powder) it says it feels like a liquid foundation

    http://www.lorealparisusa.com/_us/_en/ex鈥?/a>

i have the powder and the liquid foundation...it's the nicest foundation i've used since i'm only able to buy drug store brands atm.

is this like a powder but feels like a liquid and blends like a liquid? i heard it's really greasy? but it claims it's not greasy and never cakey??

i want to try it since i like the other products..but is it really worth it? i don't want to purchase it and hate it. =[Loreal super blendable compact makeup (foundation)?
It is matte when you apply it, but after a couple of hours it was greasy and a bit cakey. It's fine if you have normal to dry skin, but if you get the slightest bit oily, you shouldn't use it without an oil control primer or lotion.

Do you have to put powder (loose or compact) on over foundation or can foundation be enough?

It basically depends on the foundation type :)

It's better to use some powder (better yet some LOOSE powder) on liquid/creamy foundations to help them stay in place and last longer.

Also, if you want a long-wearing, more radiant complexion, it is better to use some powder on top, just like you would apply a top coat on your nail polish^^

You don't really have to, though... it does, as all makeup things, depend on you and on what you feel more comfortable wearing ^^

    Hope I helped :)

Lemme know!Do you have to put powder (loose or compact) on over foundation or can foundation be enough?
it's a good idea to use a translucent powder once you are done applying your foundation to set the makeup- it lasts longer that way. another trick is to mist very cold water over your face after you have applied all your makeup (eyeshadow blush etc). you'll want the finest mist possible so no droplets form. you can do this in conjunction with, or instead of a powder (I like to do both) . I think Evian makes a mister you can purchase from drugstores, or check a local dollar store for a cheaper alternative, a misting bottle that you fill yourself.Do you have to put powder (loose or compact) on over foundation or can foundation be enough?
You don't HAVE to, but it's always a good idea to.

Powder sets the foundation and gives a matte look, it also helps control oil. but if you prefer foundation without powder, ofcourse that's fine too!
Foundation by itself is fine, but some people prefer to put some powder on top to help keep the base(the foundation) stay put and to make their face more matte and less shiny.

    hope i helped

    foundation is usually enough

but to further even out the skin

or if you have some areas that you need to focus on more

then just lightly dust some powder over it

..... dont put on too mich or else your make up will be too natacible

    good luck!!
foundation can be enough but some people find, including myself, that using powder over foundation can take away the shine from your face and it usually stays on longer and gives a finishing touch! =] x
No, it's your prefrence. I prefer the loose powder,I think it looks better over top of foundation.
Foundation can be enough. Power just helps it smooth out, look even.

  • What type of building foundation is suitable for a low rise detached property on a compact gravel site?

Most small modern building foundations are of the concrete mat type, where a concrete slab which serves as the floor also serves as the building's foundation.

Whether you have gravel on the site or not is not a real indicator of what kind of foundation you should use, as the gravel is most likely not very deep and any foundation placed will be deeper than the gravel. No matter what, you should still check and make sure the ground is stable. What type of building foundation is suitable for a low rise detached property on a compact gravel site?
you should have plans done which would state the foundations or a surveyors report done these will tell you more about what is neededWhat type of building foundation is suitable for a low rise detached property on a compact gravel site?
No matter what you will have to dig down where the home will be and pour concrete with rebar for the foundation. I would do 12 inches of concrete. You can put the concrete blocks under the rebar before you pour if you are your own general contractor.
the easist is a concrete slab, pour a 12 x 12 footing around the exterior and then pour the concrete slab over the top of the footing. check with your local building dept first.
    Concrete
You should go and visit your local council building office dept for advice. Width on concrete foundations is just as important as thickness and mix design, usually 1-3-6. Steel reinforcement too, especially on gravel with little fines, maybe needed as some gravels have little load bearing qualities just like dry sand has.

And which foundation has best coverage overall, liquid or compact?

    Thankyou :)Liquid foundation or compact?
If you have a lot of peach fuzz like I do, I have found that the thicker the formula of foundation the more you'll see your peach fuzz. I use a moisturizer with sunblock, then dust on bare minerals powder.

I don't see my peach fuzz when I use that. Try looking for a water based light foundation. I like Rimmel foundations because they're creamy and light.Liquid foundation or compact?
Try to use the liquid more in the winter because your face is always covered and if there a little bit of fuzz you can always hide it buy scarves or hats. I would try the compact for summer because its dry and will absorb all the liquid already in your face by lotion, etc. So I would try the ones that have a brush on top of it. And its by Covergirl.
It's good to apply liquid first, and then set it with the powder. There are tutorials on youtube for this. I suggest you watch one so you'd know the steps... You wouldn't want to be putting on too much because it could clog your pores or look really cakey..
to my experience i like liquid better than powder it stays on longer but if you want to use powder than you could try like primer for your face and it would say longer but i don't think that any foundation would hide peach fuzz
Mineral Make up is the best way to go (: and its not expensive if you get the right kind. Avon has great mineral make up foundation. Liquid foundation is just going to show that fuzz up more..sorry but it will =[
I'd say liquid stays on better than powder. I use powder though, cause liquid doesn't agree with my skin. At the moment I am using a mousse. You could try that and see if it works for you.
Powder. it's much lighter and natural looking. the liquid one looks really heavy and it's harder to apply.

Would the Neutrogena Mineral Sheers Powder Foundation Compact work for me?

I am 12 years old and I am looking for some back to school make up. I have very oily skin and some acne (It isn't like really bad though). My checks are sometimes redder than the rest of my skin and I have a few scars from pimple in the past. I am now using the Mac Studio Fix pressed powder stuff, I like it, but it makes my skin look really oily after a few hours wearing. I just wanted to know if the Neutrogena Mineral Sheers Powder Foundation Compact would be good for me. I don't want my skin to look oily, I want most of my blemishes covered up, I don't want redness, I want it to last like all day for school (Like an 8 hour day with gym and heat), and I don't want it to clog my pores. Would you recommend this product to me? If not what would you recommend? Thanks! -Chessie xoxWould the Neutrogena Mineral Sheers Powder Foundation Compact work for me?
i heard it's kinda crappy.Would the Neutrogena Mineral Sheers Powder Foundation Compact work for me?
Ive heard that that actually works really well. I would try it if i was you.
Neutrogena Mineral Sheer Powder works very well on me. My skin gets somewhat oily, but I just keep blotting paper in my purse. If ur looking for coverage however, this product isn't so great. I suggest apply adding concealer to redness or pimples b4 hand. And I don't think they have any kind of fountation that will last thru the long hot days of gym class without making skin more oily or clogged. For that, try removing ur makeup with makeup remover wipes, then put it back on after gym class is over. Ur still only 12, so don't worry so much about covering ur face. It will only cause more damage in the long haul as u get older.

    Anyway, good luck!

    Compact and foundation?

Which is supposed to be used first? Compact and then liquid foundation or other way round? How should they be applied? I have an official dinner comming up ...Compact and foundation?
First , some people like to use the concealer if you absolutely have to use, which I don't recommend because the liquid foundation does the job of concealer, so after the liquid foundation, then you use the powder compact. DO NOT use the compact first then the foundation you will look very inappropriate, you can try it and see for yourself. If you have free time, go into the bathroom and play around with it to test it out before you go on that official dinner to learn how to put it on the way you like it.Compact and foundation?
Liquid foundation should be used first before the compact. With liquid u can pour a little bit in the back of your hand and mix it up there and apply a couple dots around your face [forehead, cheeks, chin, nose] with your fingers and blend with a wedge sponge or foundation brush. Don't apply too much foundation! Try to keep it natural looking. And then finish off with a little bit of the compact powder all over to let the make up set. I prefer dusting on the powder [mainly with loose powder] if you have a big blush brush!
well speaking that I have experiance In cosmetics. First you put concealer on (If you use It) then apply your liquid makeup using a foundation brush or pad. I never use my hands to smear In on my face because your rubbing the oils from your hands onto your face which Is not clean. Dont put to much liquid just a nice even thin layer. Then dust on your powder using a large brush or pad. Have fun!
first the liguid, then the compact powder, enjoy yrslf!
okay first your suppose to but the liguid on and then but the powder. you should but it on any flaws that you have do not but it all over your face becuase it will not look natual. add a little blush for flavor!
Try puritycosmetics.co.uk. It is really good!
I would only use a compact foundation for touch ups
Funny I should answer this considering I don't wear much makeup, but most experts recommend cleansing your face, applying a lightweight facial moisturizer, then the foundation. Start by dotting foundation on cheeks, chin, nose and forehead, smoothing with a damp cosmetic sponge and makign sure lines are smooth and even, well-blended. Use your fingertips to aid in the blending process-- body heat will help! If possible, check your application with a natural light source-- i.e, take a mirror with you to a sunny window. Watch your hairline and jawline, and make sure your neck doesn't stand out as a different color. Then lightly apply powder to set your look and prevent shine throughout the day/night.

Best Foundation and Compact brand that helps your face look brighter n' naturally glowing but not dull or oily

I have fair skin, but a little oily. I use L'Oreal True Match liquid foundation and compact, it looks great and perfect initially but the problem is that after a few minutes it starts looking oily and dull, even my natural fair skin starts looking dark and the brightness disappears...........Best Foundation and Compact brand that helps your face look brighter n' naturally glowing but not dull or oily
The BEST foundation EVER is Almay's Amazing Lasting 16 hour makeup. It makes your skin look flawless and smooth and stays on for AGES, plus it doesnt go oily. It is matte and long lasting, but it doesnt feel too dry like Revlons Colorstay foundation (which is number 2 on my list). I get a lot of comments on my skin and its because of Almay. Im sure of it. If your skin is fair, try the ';buff'; shade. Plus, its easy to apply and it comes in good shades that are natural and not too pink like some other brands. Personally, i dont like to use a compact powder it makes your face look too made up and dry. Its not needed with lasting foundation anyway. Instead, brush a bronzer powder on with a big brush- my favourite is Prestige bronzer in ';sunflower';. Hope this has helped!Best Foundation and Compact brand that helps your face look brighter n' naturally glowing but not dull or oily
Best one that im using is Maybelline powder. It won't let u down.

i just bought this Lancome pressed powder foundation from Sephora

i used to use CoverGirl liquid foundation but the color was tinted %26amp; it looked streaky

today was the 1st day i used my new foundation but i feel like i don't apply it right, because i don't see a big difference

i tried applying with a brush because the compact sponge thing didnt seem to work..

any tips?! thanks !I'm a beginner.. pressed/compact powder foundation?
    Maybe a kabuki brush?

I use studio fix powder foundation from MAC and use the MAC kabuki brush. I get a ton of compliments on having flawless skin. It makes my skin have kind of an air-brushed feeling. Hope this helps!I'm a beginner.. pressed/compact powder foundation?
Foundation can cause acne, so I don't suggest using it. The trick to make-up is enhancing the beauty you already have. Try some concealer (cover-up) and maybe some light blush. It's best to go into a make-up store in your area (like Merle Norman) and have them find the specific color that matches your skin the best. That's what I did and they made it a lot easier. They even told me how to apply and remove it. Good Luck!
well its good that you applying it with brush... is it and old/ bad brush?? maybe a different foundation... i recommend too faced brand from sephora its called magic wand or magicstick something like that it has a brush built in and i think it looks good.

    Foundation&compact powder-?

whats the cheapst and long lasting foundation and compact?Foundation%26amp;compact powder-?
    NAPOLEON PERDISFoundation%26amp;compact powder-?
Well is someone is asking for an inexpensive makeup product obviously she can't just go off and spend $60+ for a bottle of Chanel...

    Anywho...

Cover Girl for sure is your best bet for long lasting foundation and powder. If you prefer one step makeup I suggest Ultimate Finish Liquid Powder Makeup ($8CDN). It goes on as a cream foundation but settles as a powder. It is awesome stuff.

If you prefer just a bottle of liquid then I would suggest the Auqa Smoother's foundation($6CDN). It goes on light, moisturizes the skin, and won't clog pores. I love this stuff.

As for powder the Smoother's Pressed Powder($5CDN) is another winner!

    Good luck!

And remember, just because it doesn't have a fancy label attached to it doesn't mean it isn't just as good!
    Covergirl!

it's cheap and it works great!

i think it has really good coverage,

and i don't get all shiny after a few hours.
plzzzzzzzzzzz dont buy cheap makeup. you will regret it later;) buy chanel or estee launder.

    Compressed Compact Powder Foundation?

I have like 2 but it's my mom's. It's like about 17 year old makeup!!!! I need foundation for my play and Idk how to use the compact foundation. Everytime I try it it looks like powder is taking over my face!!! Like you can see the mineral pieces. My mom put them on me b4 and it looked the same. My friend today used compact foundation and she looks the same as me with it. How do you apply it? Also is liquid foundation better? Thanks! Also what's the difference between bronzer and blush???Compressed Compact Powder Foundation?
Oh my! Powder has changed a lot in 17 years, not to mention old powder can dry out or the oil in it can go rancid or any number of problems. You need to use powder that's fresh and new, it will look much better. Even inexpensive drug store brands have much more finely milled powders than that long ago without the chunks of glitter. Look for one that doesn't have sparkles in it, one with a nice clear finish. Talc based powders give a more matte and natural finish, mineral powders all tend to have shiny particles. To apply a powder you are better off using a soft fluffy brush rather than the little sponge-puff thing. Sweep the brush over the powder and then sweep it over your face. You can layer for a bit more coverage. Try not to brush it on so think that it makes your skin look powdery. Liquid is best for people with dry skin, if you are a teen with oily skin liquids will look greasy and they will not be long lasting on your face. Plus, liquids often need a layer of powder over them to set them and that can clog up pores, something you don't want if you are prone to breakouts.

You could try something that isn't a liquid or a powder. Maybelline makes a foundation called ';dream matte mousse'; It's light and gossamer feeling, and you can layer it for more coverage. It sets to a nice powdery silky finish and it's great for teens with oily skin. And you don't need to brush powder over it.

Bronzer is used all over the face to give a sun kissed tan look. Blush is used only on the cheeks and in the cheek hollows to contour and bring colour to the cheek, like you've been outside and active. Darker blushes are used in the hollows of the cheeks to make cheekbones look more prominent, skilled make-up artists can re-contour the shape of the face through skillful application of contour blush. Most people don't need that, a light dusting on the cheeks is enough to give the face a healthy looking glow,Compressed Compact Powder Foundation?
    Ok short makeup application lesson.

    1. Make sure you are starting with a clean, freshly washed and moisturized face.

    2. Try using a primer before applying your foundation or powder or concealer. It helps smooth the skin so you have a smooth canvas to work with. AVON makes a primer thats great and inexpensive.

    3. try using a brush instead of a powder puff or sponge to apply it.

    4. Please purchase some new makeup! It's best to replace makeup at least every 6 months or so because it can and will grow bacteria which can lead to skin problems and allergic reactions.

The link at the bottom is for the AVON magicFX primer its on sale for $7.99 and you can use the free shipping code also.

    Hope this helps!

i personally don't wear lipstick or concealer. but for eyeliner one of my fav brands now are the rimmel london waterproof eye definer (im not sure if thats the exact name but its by rimmel and its waterproof) also for foundation (i use liquid) i have used alot and i suggest the covergirl TRUblend. its awsume. then for compact powder i suggest anything by lancome paris(i know its expensive but it works wonders) then two different mascaras would be Maybelline new yorks the colossal volume express it works really well at giving you alot of extra length that most others won't. and covergirls lashblast hydrofuge it works great on making the lashs thicker. and then a tip i have would be if you get her both of the mascaras tell her to use the yellow one (maybelline) first then put the orange one( covergirl) on right after it! :) good luck!Which is the best brand for lipstick, eyeliner, foundation, concealer, mascara, compact powder.?

    Hi!

Personally I prefer MAC because of the professional quality. All of their products are amazing and really live up to their word. Plus they don't test on animals and they have a recycling program. It is pricier than drugstore makeup but most definitely worth the price.

    www.maccosmetics.com

If you want to settle for a cheaper alternative, check out Physicians Formula, or Maybelline, Boots or L'oreal. All them have a very long selection of what you are asking for.

BTW Covergirl adds a LOT fragrances into their products. And they test on animals.

Hope I helped and Happy New Year! =)

Can anyone suggest me a right method to apply compact foundation?

i used compact for a while...but then i also don't need full coverage. so i just put the foundation around my eye area just to keep my eyeshadow from wearing out.

but i found out that liquid foundation is just way better because it's not cakey. plus it feels smooth on your face. Can anyone suggest me a right method to apply compact foundation?
If you don't want a heavy coverage...apply with a powder brush. Can anyone suggest me a right method to apply compact foundation?
Don't. It clogs the pores of the skin and makes you look made-up. It is really passe'.
Aplly with a small foam with upward strokes beginning with the outside of the face(jawline and forhead) and moving in.
Don't use it. Try a tinted moisturizer instead apply with a foundation brush not fingers or sponges.
powder then liquid. but bare minerals is pretty and doesn;t clog pores

How to apply proper step by step make-up.coz whnevr i appy foundation or compact its no use.my skin is oily?

First you need to follow a good skin care regimine

If you skin is not oily naturally the soap you are using could be causing you to produce more oil. Soaps with fragrances tend to clog your pores. Regular hand soap will dry your skin too much causing your skin to work overtime to replentish the oil that is needed. This is also true for using an oily skin soap if you don't really needed it.

Once you have found a good cleanser and moisturizer you need a foundation that is light for oily skin - water based.

My suggestion to all of the above is MaryKay if you've never tried it. But if you check ebay or check around you can usually find someone that sells it at a highly discounted price (50% of the retail)

You can always drop me a line if you have any other skincare questions. How to apply proper step by step make-up.coz whnevr i appy foundation or compact its no use.my skin is oily?
If you have oily skin, you do not use oil based makeup, including liquid foundation, etc. Use a powder. How to apply proper step by step make-up.coz whnevr i appy foundation or compact its no use.my skin is oily?
use mineral makeup! it doesn't get oily or gross feeling, plus it's good for your skin! if your skin is super oily use a toner and it will help dry your skin out some!
wash your face with soap/face wash

wipe it, make sure its dry

    put on foundation

then do your eyeliner (bottom lid), mascara(top eyelashes)

    and add some lipgloss
you have to get products t hat don`t contain oil

I use compact for cheeks and liquid with a sponge for under the eyes. I use coverstick for blemishes.Do you use liquid/ compact/ stick foundation or do you have two or all in your makeup drawer?
i only use compact foundation, either a two-way cake or a pressed powder foundation.Do you use liquid/ compact/ stick foundation or do you have two or all in your makeup drawer?
i use the neutrogena mineral powder foundation.. it is great for summer because it is so light.
I use a mineral powder foundation it eliminates the bulk and is the best thing ever. It hides small blemishes and covers like a compact... I, on days needed use a concealer but it's small.
I have liquid, bronzer, and powder in my makeup kit.
I own almost every type (not brand) of concealer. Liquid, matte mousse, stick, pressed powder, loose powder, all of that.

I choose to use loose powder because it makes my skin looking flawless, but leaves me feeling like I haven't even applied my makeup yet. It also lets my pores breathe and therefore contributes to clearer, healthier skin. I think it's my best discovery yet. Though once in a whiiiiile, after an all-nighter or watching some late-night tv, I have to admit, I'll use a smaaaalll amount of concealer on my bags and eyelids.

But other than that, I haven't touched my old liquid foundation (or any other than loose powder).
sorry, i dont make up, dear
I own all three. If I use Foundation I use blotting powder by MAC for touch-ups throughout the day. If I use powder I may use some concealer for the undereyes. If I use the stick I will use the blotting powder. I tend to stay more on the light side during the week. And Glam up the weekend. Then I use the foundation and a more heavier powder especially when going out.

How long does it take to use up compact foundation?

How long does compact foundation last? I was looking into some, but it's pretty pricey so I don't want to buy it if it doesn't last long. Experience would be great!

Oh, and say the compact foundation was about .50 oz.How long does it take to use up compact foundation?
i would say two months, if you only use it like once a day, i have a compact with lose powder and i refill it every month so it really depends on whattype of foundation, what type of compact, and how often you apply itHow long does it take to use up compact foundation?
It depends the brand some brands last longer than others. For example my compact from bee luscious cosmetics lasts me over 6 months yet the ones I used to use from Chanel and MAC were done in about 2 months.
If you use it a couple times a day I would say maybe a month if that.

Has anyone ever used proactiv sheer compact foundation if so please let me know what you thought ?

yes. it doesn't really cover the pimples, so much as give them a light cover to make it look less noticable. If i have BAD acne I use concelar. But it covers my acne scars and small zits great! also, i suggest getting a shade lighter than your skin.

I just purchased a compact foundation but I dunno how to apply it correctly so that it looks smooth?

Make sure to moisturize ur skin before using any type of foundation...wait a couple of minutes for the moisturizer to settle in the skin and then apply foundation...start first with a small amount and make sure to blend alot...but try to keep a soft hand at it...and then add more foundation to the face according to how much coverage ur looking for...I just purchased a compact foundation but I dunno how to apply it correctly so that it looks smooth?
Moisturize first!!!!!!!!! Make sure the moisturizer is soaked in (or blot excess w/ a tissue) If you have a pressed powder foundation, the best coverage will come from using a powder brush. If it's a liquid/solid foundation, use a slightly damp makeup sponge. Blend especially well around your jaw line and hair line to avoid the ';foundation ring'; around your face! Hope this helps! Good luck!I just purchased a compact foundation but I dunno how to apply it correctly so that it looks smooth?
well i would just try it when you know for sure you dont have to go any ware but to make it go on smooth and stay depening what you got rub it into your hands and work it in make sure you get the neck i hate when people forget the neck and if you have the sponge aply then still use your hands to smoth it out
by using a cosmetic sponge. be sure to moisturise first then start applying your foundation . don't put too much at a time . just thin layers. smoothen with the sponge.
Using the sponge applicator, dab a thin layer and apply on forehead, nose, lip area and cheeks, re-dab the applicator everyime there is no more foundation. Start with a light layer and build up from there, applying more on areas that need it and blend to it's surrounding.
Use a makeup sponge to blend it into the skin, especially around the hairline, neck and creases of the nose. Sweep it on your t-zone (forehead, nose, chin) and then blend outwards to start, then use the sponge again to blend more foundation if you need it. Be lighthanded around the eye area, nose and upper lip.

It's good to start with a moisturizer underneath first, it creates a better 'canvas' for the foundation to glide over and lessens dry, cakey spots.

Try to avoid using your fingers, too much bacteria and oils. Plus, it doesn't create an even application like a makeup sponge can.

    The best compact foundation?

i need to go buy some compact foundation!(not liquid)

i would like to buy one of covergirl's.

    i was thinking about ';fresh complexion';

    http://www.covergirl.com/products/produc鈥?/a>

    or ';trublend powder foundation.';

    http://www.covergirl.com/products/produc鈥?/a>

    which ones better?

which ones cover acne and blackheads better?

or do you suggest other ones? i cant spend that much $$.The best compact foundation?
i personally like the trublend powder foundation....

i used to never like to buy drug store foundation and powder, i would only do department store...i have tried chanel, lancome, clinique, perscriptives, mac, etc...

but i currently started using the trublend when my mom suggested it and it is great! i say it is equal to or better than department store foundation.

it goes on smooth, covers blemishes, you name it! i was really really impressed with its coverage, feel, and naturalness to it. i get compliments on my skin every time i wear it. definitely try the trublend! i think you will be pleased with the results. The best compact foundation?
well it is expensive but worth it CHANEL works soo good i love it
Out of those two I would go with TruBlend because I use the liquid one and it matches my skin tone exactly (just like it says). Yeah so definetly go with that one.

Otherwise, my opinion on the best compact foundation is MAC's Studio Fix.

    Removing compact foundation? HELP!?

I just put on compact foundation for the first time, and now am wondering how to completely take it off? I wear pressed powder every day, and I just use my cleanser I use for my acne for that. I use Dermalogica clearing skin wash to remove my pressed powder, but does that work for foundation? Hmmm? I could probably go rumage through my mum's cabinet and see what she has, but then's she gonna be like, ';Why did you put all that stuff on in the first place?'; and I just don't feel like that right now.

ALSO IN MY CABINET (those I never use them)...Would these products work better for removing foundation:

dont use anything that will iritate your skin.

i use pro-activ and liquid foundation. what i do is i wet a washcloth with warm water, and i rub my face until i think that most of the foundation is off. dont worry about it staining your washcloth...it'll come out with soap and water, or in the wash machine. after most of it is off my face, i just wash my face with my cleanser.

it's that easy =]Removing compact foundation? HELP!?

  • What is the best compact foundation for dry/oily skin?

What is the best or close to best compact foundation for dry/oily skin. Some parts of my skin are dry %26amp; some are very oily, I live in Florida so it gets really humid. These are the compact foundations I have used so far: Chanel Teint Innocence Compact Foundation which didn't work for me b/c it made me breakout %26amp; my skin really oily %26amp; currently I'm using Mac Studio Fix Compact Foundation which is much better than the Chanel however I wanted to try the Shiseido Compact but I'm not sure. I'm only looking for compact b/c I need makeup that will fit in my small purse %26amp; something quick on the go. I just don't have time for liquid foundations, which I have used b4. Thanks to all who help. What is the best compact foundation for dry/oily skin?
I recommend Physician's Formula Talc Free Mineral Powder Foundation (the one that comes in a compact, not the loose powder) It can be found at Walmart, Target, CVS etcWhat is the best compact foundation for dry/oily skin?
i use this really great CoverGirl compact, i use calssic ivory cuz im kinda pale :) it completly absorbs oil but doesnt look cakey

    Foundation? compact? powder? primer?

I seem to be confused about face color. Is foundation what you wear before putting on compact? is it the same thing just different forms? is loose powder and pressed powder foundation? if its all different how are they different and when do you put on what?Foundation? compact? powder? primer?
Putting face makeup has many different tools... Primer being the first which can also be substituted with a moisturizer and used to fill in the surface area of skin can be colored, ie. green if you have red in your skin you want to cover up, yellow for dark circles ect. however transparent is usually the most popular. Concealer is a smaller product that is used on trouble spots much like a colored primer, under eyes, blemishes and must match your skin tone. Afterwhich foundation is applied, it comes in one of many forms, a compact -as you mentioned, stick, liquid, mousse, minerals etc., it is the same product just in different forms. The reason for the different forms is convenience for one and skin types. For example, sticks are good on normal faces since it tends to be thicker and less hydrating, liquid is good for dry and so forth. Lastly is powder, this is used for setting the foundation as it may get greasy throughout the day. Loose is dusted on after and sits in any overly moisturized areas pressed powder is the same idea just less spillage involved. Overall, these steps can be cut out if you don't find you have to encorporate them in your routine because you don't have an issue to fix. Also, there are many products now that eliminate the need for numerous steps by having 'liquid to powder' compact foundation for example, which as you may guess is used instead of applying in some cases, concealer, and powder after foundation. Hope this helped my dear...Foundation? compact? powder? primer?
    basically, i use mostly foundation.
PRIMER . FOUNDATION. compact. most people don't use lose powder any more.then maybe a bronze or blush.

yeah a compact is the powder version of foundation.. u can get this semi kind of liquid foundation from covergirl. *what i use and only use* and then there's the full on liquid.

the compact u just spread it all over ur face and make sure u don't have ne lines under ur skin. but if u use what i use.. i think it's the best and u just spread it out evenly over ur face. chin, forehead eyes nose and then cheeks making sure there it's not uneven. but if u want to try liquid just put a few dots on ur face and then smooth it out. u can use liquid and the compact powder.. if u do use the liquid then the compact .. but i think using both is a lil too much.
that's why i don't even mess w/ all that- it's not even good for ure face. i stick to eyeshadow, mascara, sumtimes eyeliner, sumtimes blush, and always lip gloss. some sparkles too. to me, if it smells weird/ chemically, don't wear it.

I have a MAC studio fix liquid foundation and mineralize loose powder. Should I get the studio fix compact?

I am goin back to school soon and I was thinking should i get a studio fix compact too for travel or even on bz days, just a compact will do rather than liquid n loose powder? Or am I wasting money and should just use them till its finished?I have a MAC studio fix liquid foundation and mineralize loose powder. Should I get the studio fix compact?
same as me! I use studio fix liquid and mineralize powder, I think the compact is good because it's handy and portable, but the finish with the liquid and powder is better. I would use up what you've got (no point wasting such great make up or money) then maybe try the compact. If you take your time putting it on in the morning it should stay all day I have a MAC studio fix liquid foundation and mineralize loose powder. Should I get the studio fix compact?
your wasting your money wait til you finshish the product and I have the compact I think you should too the loose can get messy and get everywhere.
Studio Fix is SO FRIGGIN AMAZING!!!!

you are NOT in any way wasting money on the compact

    DO IT

    DO IT

    DO IT
    studio fix is my favriote.
why not..you can never have too much make...get the compact for school..and keep the other at home

Has anyone else been misled by the foundation color printed on Neutrogena Compact Makeup?

I recently bought Neutrogena SkinClearing Compact Makeup for the first time, and found that the ';foundation shade'; on the packaging was significantly different from the actual (inside) makeup's shade! I going to go exchange it tomorrow, but unfortunately because the makeup comes in boxes/packages that do not let you see the actual makeup itself, I'm worried I'll choose the wrong shade again. Any suggestions or similar experiences with Neutrogena makeup?

(Btw I usually use LOreal W3 true match makeup-- if anyone knows which Neutrogena shade that might correspond to, I'd love to know :D)Has anyone else been misled by the foundation color printed on Neutrogena Compact Makeup?
If you can not test the color do not buy it! I agree that you should go to a makeup counter and find out what shade will work best, it may cost more, but at least you will look good!Has anyone else been misled by the foundation color printed on Neutrogena Compact Makeup?
buff blush shud match your tone
i highly recomend tht u should go to MAC and let them pick out ur color for foundation...its much easier and it works great
i got that neutragena stuff once and it turned out to be an orange brown color i hated it. try looking in magazines that say what color of makeup you should use with your skin color. i have found the perfect color that way.

CLINIQUE SUPERBALANCED LIQUID OR COMPACT FOUNDATION?

which one is better and whyCLINIQUE SUPERBALANCED LIQUID OR COMPACT FOUNDATION?
i like powder foundation best becuz it doesnt come off as easly as liquid which gets on your clothes and if u play sports, when u sweat and stuff it starts to come off and run everywhere

did that make any sence cuz i didnt explain it that well?CLINIQUE SUPERBALANCED LIQUID OR COMPACT FOUNDATION?
I have both the Clinique Superfit long wear foundation and the Clinique Almost Powder compact foundation.

I've used the superfit for quite a while and loved it but after I while I found the coverage wasn't quite enough, as though I had to use concealer with it too, or it started to rub off through the day. So I asked at a Clinique section and the beautician recommended this powder. I absolutely love it.

I still use both together as I still like the foundation and the powder ';sets'; the makeup. Since using the powder (and Clinique's high impact curling mascara) I've have had comments from quite a few friends about how nice and natural my complexion and make up looks.

But if I'm in a rush the powder is definately the winner, a lot better coverage, and can be applied lightly or as a more matte effect. It's really natural and gorgeous with just a brush of blusher.

I have sensitive and quite dry skin, which can get patchy, hence why I use both, but if was more strapped for cash I'd go for the powder. Although I haven't used the superbalanced liquid, I can't see it giving better complexion or coverage than the powders.

Also, the Clinique beauticians have been lovely wherever I've been and give great advice, I'm sure they'd give you a demo of a couple of products and are great at advising you on which type of each foundation will best suit your skin. If you explain you definately want one but want to test them out they're normally very willing to give you samples, which might last you a while anyway! ;)

    Good luck!
I worked for Clinique until recently and am a qualified beauty therapist so i use these products a lot. To be honest i prefer liquid foundation. I would really like to ask you your skin type but superbalanced is a good choice as it covers combination skin (which most people do have). With it being a good brand and fairly expensive the liquid foundation does go a long way and will last much longer, also using your fingers rather than a foundation brush/sponge will make the product last longer(the brush/sponge will soak up/hold some of the founation. The good thing about Superbalanced liquid foundation is that it hydrates your skin where you need it and absorbs oil on areas that need it so it is really good for combination skin.

Also liquid foundation can be easier to blend as you just start in the middle of your face and blend outwards so you dont get a line at the edge, sometimes compact foundation is harder to blend and looks heavier and more un-natural. I find liquid is easier to build up the coverage to suit you.

The only down side to the liquid superbalanced is that if you really like a more powder finish then you will need to use a powder as well (a light dusting of loose powder with a brush will do - dont use a sponge to put your powder on on top of your founation as it wont give an even light coverage it will just stick to oilier areas). So an upside to the compact is that you dont really need powder on top as it gives a cream to powder finish.

Another Clinique foundation i would definatley recommend is Dewy Smooth liquid foundation, it is actually classed as anti-ageing but i am 22 and i use it and love it. I have tried loads of expensive brands but i always come back to this one. People always comment on my skin when i wear this. Again it is for dry to combination skin and it gives a really gorgeous dewy smooth finish, it plumps and smooths the skin and feels soft. There have been so many tv make-over shows where i spot that they have the dewy smooth bottle of foundation on the desk or in the make-up bag! I know a few make-up artists who use it too. It has an SPF too.

But which ever one you chose you should go to the Clinique counter and ask them to advise you on shades and have a try of both the compact and liquid make-up because i can give you my opinion but the main thing is personal preference. Foundation is a tricky thing to get right and you want to make sure you pick the right one for you before you spend your money, people end up with loads of expensive foundations and none of them are actually right so try before you buy!

Sorry to go on but i really hope this helps you - good luck with your foundation shopping!!
liquid works way better i think i use it and its a lot less oily then the powder stuff it feels like that powder stuff makes my face greasy which sounds weird cause you think it'd be the opposite but for me at least its not. Also the liquid makes your skin look like it has no pores!

Opinions on Mac full coverage foundation in the compact?

Is it powdery?Smooth?Thick? What do you think of it?Thanks1Opinions on Mac full coverage foundation in the compact?
its pretty smooth. just make sure u get the exact color of ur skin..ask the MAC ladies to color match you. you can go to a MAC store or koisk in the mall and try the foundation on for yourself but i love it :)Opinions on Mac full coverage foundation in the compact?
I like it but right now in the summer I have found that the almay that is white and turns to the color of your skin is the best makeup I have ever used in 45 years...... So I would tell you that you do not need to use nothing but that and blush and a little eye makeup and your set to go day or night.... I am not changing at all....

    Ann
I don't recommend mac if you're a teenager. It's very heavy foundation and their liquid is very thick. I am 31 years old and use mac but I also have years of sun damage and un-evenness to hide and that isn't typical for younger girls. If you still are in your teens, I would say go to the clinique counter. The products aren't as heavy. If you're out of your teens, go for the mac. It offers GREAT coverage but BEWARE, if you don't wash your face properly or EVERY night before you go to bed, it WILL give you black heads and clog your pores. I know, it's almost unfair. Good luck!
I use it and really enjoy it. It stays on all day and has a smooth feel to it. Just make sure you don't buy their liquid foundation. A makeup artist once told me that their liquid foundation is heavy and will clog your pores.
I never did care for MAC products. They just seem so heavy, in general.
It looks pretty good on, but it made me break out.I'm sure it doesn't have that effect of most people , because many of my friends use it and love it. It's smooth and won't be powdery unless you have dry skin. Just use moisturizer before applying your powder.
SMOOTH BUT IT CREATES ACNE SOMETHING YOU DON'T WANT.
Mac...well i know i'll never ever use it...it's too well, too heavy
  • ms stress
  • Should i get the true match powder if i get the true match compact powder foundation?

No. You only need a powder if you have a liquid foundation, because the liquid foundation will make your face look oily, so you want to get rid of that oily look by putting powder over it. So for now, only get the powder foundation, and if for some reason its oily on your skin, then go out and buy the powder. Get it?

Hope I helped %26amp; Good luck!

Which concealer n' foundation, compact, etc. is best?

which concealer is best, and works to cover the imperfections?

which foundation,compact,etc.. works best to mk skin look a little caky but still pretty?

    skin type- oily,dry.

products should be: oil-free,doesnt clog pores, etc.

must be purchased at wal-mart,target,etc.Which concealer n' foundation, compact, etc. is best?
Use neutrogena (sp)!!Which concealer n' foundation, compact, etc. is best?
Shishedo is the best makeup that I have ever used, their concealer is awesome. However, this line is not carried at Wal-Mart or Target (I would stay away from Wal-Mart whenever possible) look for anything natural and hypo-allergenic, ex. almay, neutrogena, they are not bad for the category of make up.
people think its the make up thats bad for your skin,or they cant find the right type, but it all has to do with cleansing you skin..............but try phicians formula, its a wal-mart and target.
There is no right answer to this question. You have to find what works best for your skin and since you are limited to places like Walmart and Target, you have to remember, you get what you pay for. And why would you want it to be cakey? That means you don't know how to put it on.
if you have sensitive skin try using sepora all in one i tried it and its no hassle but not available at walmart, target

neutrogena (sp) is also nice but drys up my skin but if you are oily type it might work
I like Rimmel light-reflecting concealer. (It's in a tube with a pink cap.) I also like maybelline dream matte mousse foundation and I think that Burt's Bees blotting papers are great for controlling shine.

And you definately don't want the cake-y look. Nothing pretty about that.
y would u want it to be caky?
i would have to say clinique

spoil yourself and buy an Estee Lauder one - that is the best and will last ages, and looks fabA good compressed compact powder foundation?
Ok first and foremost make sure that you don't soley depend on the most ';expensive'; products, you don't need to go out and buy Este Lauder, Channel, or those Mac products to find the best foundation/powder, I recommend Bare minerals, you can find it at Ulta, or department store, its very light, and made for sensative skin and protects skin very well, make sure there is no oil and read the ingredients, good luck!
if you are wanting something fast but looks good, try bare minerals. it is a powder you brush on and it really covers great. just get a shade the same as your skin is now.
MAXFACTOR....Its really good and well priced... I use Clinique, quite pricey but excellent....

    Hi,

I have an idea for you before you buy anything on the market.

Kohl's sells a brand called American Beauty and it is made for sensitive skin and it's also a sister product of Estee Lauder.

You could go to Kohl's and try the products before you buy them.

I usually am careful of what I try on my face because other people use those testers too, but...

I usually go to Kohl's and try on one product at a time...then I shop around the store to see how the product feels on my face.

The reason I use only one product a time per shopping trip, is to get an idea of what looks good on me ...as well as, If my skin can't handle a certain product, then at least I know what product that I used and I can avoid purchasing it.

    I hope this helps you.
Try something from benefit cosmetics of Almays new SmartShade makeup it goes on white then blends to match your skin color. Hope this helps. Also there is this stuff called hope in a jar its a good moisturizer that makes you have Make-Up Optional skin.
Try puritycosmetics.co.uk. It is made from natural ingredients and won't irritate your skin. It looks really good on your skin!
I use Physician's Formula Mineralwear. I believe they have one that is called ';translucent';.

You can also try Bare Minerals, which I know isn't a compressed compact powder, but it really does work very well!
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UAvVmHEPu鈥?/a>
Virgin vie do the best powder ever it's not thick and it also takes redness away from spots i think it's call one step base or something like that

The Smashbox anti-shine compact. Here are some reviews:

http://makeupalley.com/product/showrevie鈥?/a>Best compact foundation for oily skin?
Prescriptives is has really great quality foundation for oily skin. I broke out with MAC but Prescriptive feels light and ';cool'; kind of when on the skin. It's really nice and hard to put into words.

If you break out occasionally(like I do), I'll use one of the bare minerals products called ';rareminerals';. The rareminerals has a sulfur base, which is better for acne prone skin, which I have. Then there is murad, which has sulfur based makeup as well. If benzo peroxide only irritates the skin, or seems to make acne worse, red or flare, sulphur is the next best step.

Is it necessary for me to apply a compact powder after i apply a foundation on my face?

No, it’s not. Actually, after the foundation, you can use loose powder to “set” the makeup so it will last longer. The compact is basically for touch ups during the day.Is it necessary for me to apply a compact powder after i apply a foundation on my face?
if you use a liquid foundation or a tinted moisturizer people generally apply powder just to set the liquid in place so when you start to sweat, the liquid foundation won't start to melt %26amp; slide all over your face.Is it necessary for me to apply a compact powder after i apply a foundation on my face?
Nope...only if you want to. I like to, because I think it makes my face look more ';finished';. But some people don't like the cakey look...so its totally personal.
no .....powder can be a very heavy look..and too matte..

    keep it natural...dewy %26amp; fresh....
No it's not a necessity but it will ';set'; your foundation which will keep the foundation on you face longer.
I think that you can just to smooth out the look and I know. I always thought that I would never wear that much makeup. but it makes the look come together just use a powder brush,
What kind of foundation do you use? I use a stick - Maybelline 3-1. As others have said, the powder ';sets'; the foundation. I couldn't imagine not using the powder w/the stick - I think the stick w/o the powder would get too shiney. Stop at a good make-up counter at the mall and ask.
Not really if the foundation is adequate. Try translucent loose powder.
Some people like to because they think it ';sets'; the make-up and gives a more finished look. Personally, I don't like clogging my pores and wearing more make-up than I have to. I don't apply powder after applying foundation, and my skin always has a nice natural, healthy look to it. You may want to consider using a powder for evening wear or special occasions, (I did apply powder to my foundation on my wedding day) but for daytime wear, I prefer to look a little more natural and less made-up, (especially in the summertime when you don't want to wear alot of heavy make-up - at least I don't) but that's just me. Hope this helps.
no! if your applying both it means you need to change foundation something that last longer
What Caroline said is EXACTLY true! Since a liquid foundation is wet, the LOOSE powder sets the liquid so it stays all day. A compact powder is for touchups IF you get shiny during the day. I apply makeup for weddings so I know how to make the makeup last. HTH.
i have learned if you put on powder after foundation then it will not stay on as long as it would without it!!!!
It is not necessary, but it helps give that smooth look.

Try using a cream to powder foundation. This way you get two in one, without spending double.

Neutrogena makes a FABULOUS mineral make-up (about $12.00, everywhere) that's the size of a fat lipstick.

Just dust it on in circles. Fits in your pocket, in your purse, back back...

Doesn't clog pores, many different shades... LOVE IT!!Best Compact Foundation?
Here's the deal, to get the best foundation, the brand doesn't matter as much as the application. For instance, I always start with an airbrush cream. It makes your foundation have an airbrushed look, and it feels like silk on your skin. Then, it's best to put a liguid/foam/mousse layer. The top layer should be powder, but light - so you don't look crusty - just finished. You can even use a bronzer powder for a sunkissed look.

Definitely invest in good lipstick, eyeshadow and blush. Find colors that look striking on you. Not everything looks good on everyone, believe me. And make sure your eyes never are the same color as your shirt. I guess its a faux paux this year.

In the summer time you don't really need foundation, it just smears off and looks gross when you sweat anyway. A good concealer might be necessary, but you just get something to put in your purse in that case.
my faves are not available at those stores, but they are available through reps and studios.
