What's the difference between compact powder, foundation and face powder?

if we are using compact powder, do we need to use make-up remover to remove it? what if we are using face powder, do we need to use make-up remover too? but i knew that if we are using foundation, we must remove it with make-up remover before going to bed...What's the difference between compact powder, foundation and face powder?
LOOSE POWDER FOUNDATION TIPS:

MK Signature鈩?Loose Powder

When brushed on lightly, this silky-smooth formula helps control excess oil while setting makeup for an all-day flawless look.

鈥?Glides on easily.

鈥?Controls excess oil and unwanted shine.

鈥?Leaves a matte finish.

鈥?Does not leave dull or dry appearance.

鈥?Helps keep makeup fresh all day.

鈥?Available in six shades that complement all skin tones from Ivory to Bronze.

LIQUID FOUNDATION TIPS:

Foundation should be applied after you moisturize, which helps provide a smoother, more even application. If you have imperfections, apply the correct shade of MK Signature鈩?Concealer first. Apply foundation to the center of the cheek and forehead, and lightly smooth it outward with your fingertips or cosmetic sponge in sweeping strokes, carefully blending along the jawline. To set the foundation, lightly dust the face with MK Signature鈩?Loose Powder. Mary Kay庐 Dual-Coverage Powder Foundation can be used to touch up throughout the day. Be sure to adapt your foundation shades to fit seasonal changes in your skin tone. For instance, you may need to wear a lighter shade during the winter and a darker shade during the summer.

Tips: 鈥?When trying a new shade of foundation, wait a few minutes before reaching a decision, as the foundation needs to adapt to your skin. And always try the foundation shade on your face, as your wrists or hands are almost never the same shade as your face.

鈥?Remember, you'll need to blend the foundation into your skin to get a true idea of how the shade looks on you. The color coming out of the tube may not always be an indicator of how it will look on your skin tone.

鈥?If more coverage is needed, just wait a couple of minutes for the first layer to dry, then reapply. You can touch up throughout the day if needed.

鈥?The best foundation shade to choose is one that disappears on your face.

鈥?If you鈥檝e chosen a foundation shade that blends in well with your neck but feel you want added color, choose pink or berry cheek color to brighten your face, depending on your skin tone.

鈥?When you can鈥檛 decide on which foundation shade to choose, opt for the darker shade and the one with yellow undertone.

鈥?Yellow-based foundations work well on almost everyone. Foundations with a little yellow will even out almost every complexion. Yellow minimizes red, which may be inherent in skin鈥檚 coloring as a result of tanning, aging or broken capillaries.

鈥?Use the Mary Kay庐 Dual-Coverage Powder Foundation with the round powder brush all over the face for a lighter effect than using a cosmetic sponge.

鈥?If you have dry skin, go for a lighter effect; otherwise, you鈥檒l accentuate the dryness.

COMPACT POWDER FOUNDATION TIPS:

Mary Kay 庐 Dual-Coverage Powder Foundation 鈥?For Dry to Oily Skin Types

鈥?Gives you two great options in one convenient product; perfect to use as a pressed powder or alone as a foundation.

鈥?Provides natural/sheer coverage as a foundation.

鈥?Helps to set foundation and control shine as a pressed powder.

As with all makeup there is the 5 basic steps before applying any makeup to your skin.

1. Cleanse

2. Exfoliate

3. Tone/Freshen

4. Moisturize

5. Protect

after you wear your makeup all day it should be taken off with a warm soft cloth with the proper makeup cleanser. I hope this helps you out! What's the difference between compact powder, foundation and face powder?
Yes! Cleansing your skin is SO important. I wont tell you about the foundations and powders because my sister consultant tracy already has. Foundation and powders act as a barrier for our skin. When you touch the skin on your face you are bringing what ever contaminants that you have touched to it. If you use a public restroom ever you can imagine the things that get on your face. If you dont use foundation these things go right into your pores. If you do use foundation they go down the drain at night when you wash your face. I suggest our Timewise three in one cleanser because it cleanses exfoliates and freshens your skin in one step. You can simply follow with our moisturizer that is customized for your skin type and go to bed. Be sure you dont forget to remove the makeup from your eyes as well. We have an oil free eye makeup remover that makes taking off water proof mascara a breeze. Best wishes hon. I suggest you find a consultant in your area by going to www.MaryKay.com and typing in your zip code to find one who can personally come over offer you a complimentary facial and let you try the products before you buy them. ;)

Megan
is there a difference??? i thought its all d same
It is best to remove any powders so your pores are not closed. The texture of the three powders is different, one might even use each of the above differently.
NOTHING LOL. all try to change the color of urs.
No matter what you use, always use a make up remover. It will clean your pores. Compact powder foundation is use as a foundation but depending on your skin type (oily, dry, rosea, etc.). Face powder is usually use to take the shiny look away but some people use both as foundation. Anything use on your face should be taken off with a gentle make up remover.
omg why wouldnt you clean that off your face before you sleep? how gross!
